When you want to whip up a nice simple knit cropped pant for knocking around in the warm weather the pattern will let you do that, as well, with or without all the ruffles.

This versatile PDF includes pattern and tutorial for 2 different lengths. On the cropped version, you can go ruffle C R A Z Y or play it sweet and subtle…either way, this pattern has got you covered. As with all of our stretch knit fabric patterns, tips and tricks are included in the tutorial for working with knit.

Size: 6 months-10 years

Materials Needed:

  • 1 ¼ yd. of stretch knit for base of pants
  • 1-3 t-shirts or fabric scraps in varying colors/prints for ruffles OR another ½ yd. of stretch knit in various colors/prints for the ruffles
  • Matching thread
  • Ball point or stretch needle for medium weight fabrics
  • ¾” elastic

    These knit ruffle pants rock. All LG patterns and instructions are written in an easy to follow format. Great photos too. Beth has been so helpful in answering my questions and I was able to turn these into Bermuda shorts.
